Armagnac in the spotlight at Marsan by H. Darroze in Forbes magazine

Armagnac maintains its symbolic associations with the French countryside at one of the capital’s most significant fine dining establishments.

Hélène Darroze’s Marsan, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris’s 6th arrondissement, is one of the few fine dining establishments to champion Armagnac with both authenticity and purpose.

Integrating it through thoughtful pairings, a large archive of historic vintages, and an emphasis on storytelling, Darroze helms the three-starred ‘Hélène Darroze at The Connaught’ in London, but has been a fixture in the Paris dining scene since 1999.

Marsan, named after her hometown and driven by her deep connections to the region of Gascony, is Darroze’s most personal project. Now in its sixth year, it continues to celebrate the provincial culinary heritage of South West France, of which, Armagnac is an important part.
