Discovering
La Côte Saint Jacques

We are delighted to highlight one of our long-standing customers, La Côte Saint Jacques, an iconic establishment in Burgundy.

Founded in 1945 by Marie Lorain, La Côte Saint Jacques began as a simple family guesthouse. In 1958, Michel Lorain, one of the sons, took over the restaurant and gradually transformed its cuisine. Initially simple and traditional, the cuisine quickly evolved to become a gastronomic benchmark for the region.

This quest for excellence paid off: in the 1970s, the restaurant was awarded one and then two stars in the Michelin Guide. In 1986, the restaurant was awarded the prestigious third star, 3 years after Jean-Michel Lorain joined his father in the kitchen.

In the 2000s, the loss of a star and major works to move the restaurant to the banks of the Yonne gave the establishment a new lease of life. The cuisine was reinvented, combining creativity and modernity while respecting family culinary traditions. The hotel has also been a benchmark for many years thanks to its 5-star facilities.

Today, La Côte Saint Jacques is known for its modernity and respect for traditional cuisine. It is with great pride that we count this establishment among our historic customers since the creation of Armagnacs Darroze in 1974. We invite you to discover our Armagnacs in the bar of the Michelin-starred restaurant. https://www.cotesaintjacques.com/
