A Darroze’s knife made from barrels

This knife is the work of a craftsman, “El Carpintero”, artist, creator, who draws his inspiration from his love of cutlery and the world in which he lives. His workshop is located in the magnificent village of Labastide d’Armagnac, very close to the our Armagnac ageing cellars.

When I asked him to work on a knife with an oak handle made from barrels that have aged Armagnac for decades, he was extremely enthusiastic.

Produced in small series of 50 knives, each model is unique. The metal parts are produced in the capital of cutlery, Thiers. Each handle is created and assembled in the Labastide d’Armagnac workshop.
